Due to the rapid changes in educational technologies, virtual reality (VR) applications are increasingly used as beneficial tools in ELT classrooms. In the Current Issues in Teaching course, we integrated VR into high school prep classrooms by using 360° visual tours. The aim of this activity was to observe how VR-supported materials influence students’ participation, cultural awareness, and comprehension skills. Through this integration, we also aimed to provide students with a more immersive and interactive learning experience.

Our ASSURE plan :

We added brief information for each landmark, museum, and food item. In addition, we included clear instructions for the activities to ensure a smooth transition between pages. We removed ā€œPilsner beerā€ from the activity since the material was designed for students and replaced it with a street food item instead.
